Security Awareness
To support our ongoing commitment to cybersecurity, the IT department periodically conducts phishing simulations to test employees' awareness of ransomware threats. These simulated emails are designed to help you recognize and avoid common cyber threats.
The IT Helpdesk also provides helpful “how-to” videos on recognizing phishing attempts, securely sharing information, and handling suspicious links. For more information, please refer to the IT Training section.
IT Training
Security training is provided through our third-party partner, KnowBe4. If you need login credentials or wish to access additional training resources, please submit a Helpdesk ticket for assistance.
Video and Music Streaming
Please be mindful that computer and network resources such as bandwidth and storage are shared and limited. All users are expected to use these resources responsibly. Activities that may negatively impact performance or availability include (but are not limited to):
Sending mass emails or chain letters
Excessive internet usage unrelated to work
Playing games, engaging in online chats or social media
Uploading/downloading large files
Streaming audio or video for non-business purposes
These activities should be avoided during work hours to maintain optimal network performance for all users.
Password Protection
Passwords are a critical component of our system security. At Gates Hudson, we emphasize the following best practices:
Never share your password with colleagues
Log off your PC daily to prevent unauthorized access
The IT department does not store passwords, so please keep your credentials secure
If you are locked out of any system or application, please submit a Helpdesk ticket for support.
